There are many ways to depict motion in a still photo frame. One technique is to physically manipulate the camera during a long exposure, as was done here, and is perhaps the closest a photographer gets to more traditional artistry. This technique effectively paints camera's sensor much like an art brush on canvas. By moving the camera in a circular pattern, I was able to produce this wonderful motion blur of colorful chrysanthemums creating hooked-shaped highlights.
